How I used a three-star venue to put on a five-star conference

Carla Rossouw has been involved with CCC-SA for many years and has assisted with their conferences and events in the past. A need for an annual staff conference was discussed, and with the current world economic climate, the budget was very tight.

The Brief

  • Conveniently located for staff from Johannesburg & Pretoria and for other staff to fly in from other locations
  • Family friendly with the need for flexible accomodation for the staff and children ranging in age from babies to teenagers
  • The venue of choice was Sparkling Waters Hotel & Spa a three-star graded property in the Rietfontein valley of the Magaliesburg

The clients comments

I could not believe what we got for our money. The rooms were big each with a small stoep from where we could...

Our meals were highlights. The food was excellent and one of our staff who has health problems...

The conference facility was a joy as well, big and spacious with cool water always on hand, staionary provided...

Compared with other conferences and events I have managed throughout the year, the challenges for this conference were very few. Sparkling Waters was able to curb costs for the client with creative and effective suggestions.

As always the best place to come to. Food and entertainment the best as the first time if not better. For that reason I recommended it to my parents, who also stayed with Sparkling Waters and to hear that they experience it the same way we enjoyed it makes me a definite customer of Sparkling each year.
